Monrovia Bulldogs Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Cascade
Monrovia Bulldogs snagged a late lead and defeated Cascade 5-4 on Monday. The game was tied at four with Monrovia Bulldogs batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kayden Williams reached on a dropped third strike.
Cascade got things started in the second inning when #11 homered on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Monrovia Bulldogs scored three runs in the third inning. Jeren Maxwell and Ezra Wagner all drove in runs in the frame.
Cooper Noel earned the victory on the mound for Monrovia Bulldogs. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out six. Philip Kostrzewski threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
#18 led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Cascade. He went four innings, allowing three runs on two hits and striking out four. #21 and #3 entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
Monrovia Bulldogs smacked one home run on the day. Noel went for the long ball in the fifth inning.
Kostrzewski, Williams, Noel, and Maxwell each collected one hit to lead Monrovia Bulldogs. Monrovia Bulldogs tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Williams led the way with two.
#54 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cascade in hits. Cascade didn’t commit a single error in the field. #26 had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
