Monrovia Bulldogs Overcomes Cloverdale In Face Of Early 4-Run Inning
Monrovia Bulldogs claimed a 14-4 victory on Monday, despite a big push by Cloverdale in the fifth inning. #8, #16, and #3 powered the big inning with RBIs.
Monrovia Bulldogs fired up the offense in the first inning. Cooper Noel drove in one when he singled.
Monrovia Bulldogs tallied six runs in the fourth inning. Jalen Niece, Patrick Danforth, Ezra Wagner, and Philip Kostrzewski all drove in runs in the frame.
Noel was the winning pitcher for Monrovia Bulldogs. He allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six. Nolan Demott and Zach Shomber entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
#10 took the loss for Cloverdale. He allowed six hits and 11 runs over three and a third innings, striking out three.
Jake Smith led Monrovia Bulldogs with two hits in four at bats. Danforth led Monrovia Bulldogs with four stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with nine stolen bases.
